Howard 2 have moved their home night to a Wednesday to give themselves a better chance of fielding a team and this plan started well with a 8-2 victory over visitor's Cliffe Woods 2. Roger Morley is in good form and he proved too much for the Cliffe trio of Andy Larner, Dave Lewis and Peter Mortley. He was well supported by Tony Bull and Alex Clarke who both beat Andy and Peter but came unstuck against Dave who registered both Cliffe's points. All Alex's games went to a deciding leg and but for a 13-11 reverse in the 5th against Dave, he would also have had a hatrick. Despite this loss Cliffe stay 2nd in Div One.
