A competitive match was finally decided by a 5 leg Doubles victory by the home side against Sturdee 3. It was Chatham Endurance's 4th win of the season and Sturdee's 4th loss. Claire Blackman recorded her 2nd maximum in a row but had to go the distance with both Jaspal Plaha and Neil Tydeman. Neil won his other two against Julian Barker and Gareth Fox - saving an amazing 6 match points in the 4th leg before taking the 5th. This denied Gareth a hatrick as he beat Jaspal and Sturdee's 3rd player, Jill Shipton. Jaspal and Jill did have the consolation of beating Julian who was out of luck in this match with two 5th leg 11-9 defeats.
