A very competitve match saw 6 of the 10 contests requiring a deciding leg, four of which went to the home side as Cliffe Woods ran out 7-3 winners to move up to 3rd in the table. Dave Lewis got a well earned treble coming back from 1-2 down in legs to all three of Luton's players. Peter Mortley also emerged unbeaten despite losing the first leg in all of his games and took the Player of the Match Award. Mike Kemlo, playing only his 4th league match of the season, had a 5th leg win against Ross Childs and nearly repeated that effort against Dave Hopkins but the Luton man just edged the last 3 legs for his only win on the night. Ian Sayer also beat Mike but all Ross had to show for his efforts was a share of the Doubles success with Dave in another close battle.
