With this 9-1 victory, 3rd placed Cliff Woods 2 have now taken 19 points off Boxley 1 this season. Alan Bridle picked up his first Player of the match Award of the campaign only dropping one leg (to Lyndon Gurr) in singles and Doubles with his clever control of the ball and good use of spin. Dave Lewis was also in good form showing patient chopping when needed but also consistent hitting to defeat Gurr 3 straight, Gary Hentschel in 4 legs and Barry Roles over the distance. Peter Mortley dropped the only point for the visitors, losing out to Roles from 2 legs up.
