Luton Invicta 2 made the trip to Newington Village Hall and found Neil Tydeman in good form as he recorded his 2nd treble of the season for Sturdee 3. He was pushed to a 5th leg by Ross Childs in the opening game but came through that and then beat Dave Hopkins in four legs and Luton Captain, Tony Boarer, three straight. Jaspal Plaha and Andy Marchant completed the Sturdee line-up and both beat Tony but lost out to Ross and Dave. So the hosts led 5-4 going into the Doubles, but after 5 legs Ross and Dave eventually got home 11-8 to earn the draw, their first of the season.
