For the 2nd week running Luton Inv 2 only had to face 2 players in the opposition line-up.  Boxley's Gary Hentschel was laid low by manflu and couldn't join teamates Lyndon Gurr and Barry Roles for their final fixture of the season. Boxley nearly salvaged an unlikely draw as Roles went unbeaten and Gurr added a win(from 2-1 down in legs) against Tony Boarer. So it was all down to the Doubles and the Boxley duo led 2-1 before the Dave Hopkins/Ross Childs combo finally found their touch to win it in the 5th and secure the 6-4 result. Mathematically it is still possible for Luton to get 2nd spot in Div One but they would have to beat Chatham Dorset 10-0 next week in their final rearranged match. Dorset too have a slim chance of the 2nd spot so an interesting match to finish the Div One season !
