This was a keenly contested match with seven games going beyond three sets.  The difference between the two teams was Kathy Hall who got a deserved treble at the expense of Malcolm Kay, Priscilla Gyamfi and Stewart Day.  Kathy was well backed up by Colin Hutchins and Brenda Aherne who both got doubles.  Only  Malcolm Kay, who was called up as a last minute sub due to injuries, illness and holidays stood between Upnor and a whitewash was able to trouble the scorecard with a double and also partnered Stewart to a straight sets doubles win.
