Luton kept the pressure on Furious by going one better and winning 8-2 against Gannet thanks to a treble for Dennis McConkey.  There were also doubles for Keith Ball and Mick Barber with Keith losing to Chris Morford and Mick being beaten by Steve Collins in three very close sets, but Roger Chipperfield, despite taking a set from Mick and running Keith to 14-12 in the first set of their match couldn't add to Gannets total.
