Match Report

A very close encounter with Chatham Cumberland just edging it 6,4. Sherness got off to a winning start with Michael Barker overcoming an out of sorts Brian Lees, a good victory for the Sherness player, especially as it his first season in the top flight. Chatham then recovered to take the next three, Shev Macdonald picking up a brace, then the match fluctuated wildly The stand out player was Chatham new recruit Moruf Oladimeji, who went undefeated, not losing a leg in his treble. Paul Norman registered a fantastic double for Sherness which included two fifth leg triumphs, 11,9 at the death over Brian Lees and more impressively, 12.10 in the deciding leg over Shev Mcdoinald. Keith Ludlum posted a solo win, a three legger over a luckless Brian Less, who surprisingly went away empty handed. Chatham won the doubles to secure the victory
