Ark Royal ran out 8,2 winners with maximums from Stuart Fritter and the incomparable Mark Buckley. 
Greg Hackers managed to beat Dave Bonner and was apparently unlucky to go away with just one win, losing two legs 12,10 to Tim Vaughan in a fourth leg narrow defeat. Ian Parkes looked like he would produce a terrific win over Stuart Fritter, with a two legs to one lead, but unfortunately the Chatham player rallied to win 11,5 in the decider. Ian Parkes did have the consolation of his own fifth leg victory, fighting back to win 11,3 at the death over Greg Hackers.
