Rainham 1 showed no mercy to their 2nd team clubmates when the two sides met at the hut this week. The "away" side were missing a holidaying Tim Davie so they called up Steve Hayes from the 2nd Division to help them out. A tough task given the quality of the opposition but Steve did take a leg off Mark Steeden to his credit. Regulars Mick Hambelton and John Coleman tried their best to stop the onslaught but went home empty handed although Mick did lead Mark 2-1 in legs before he fought back to win in the 5th. Rikki Clarke and Dave Barr completed the triumphant 1st team line-up.
