Both these sides had unbeaten starts to the season but it was Rainham 1 who kept hold of their 100% record courtesy of the Clarke family(Gary and Rikki) taking the Doubles at the end of the evening for a 6-4 victory over Luton 2.  Rikki was the difference between the two sides as he only dropped one leg (to Dave Hopkins) on the way to his treble. Ross Childs was the host's best performer claiming good wins over Dave Barr and Gary. All other players managed one win each but the crucial game was Ian Sayer v Gary Clarke with the match score at 4-4. The latter took this 13-11 in the 5th to give the away side the lead going into the Doubles. With other results, Rainham actually slip to 3rd in the table, Luton are 4th.
