A close match between 2nd and 4th in the Div One table saw the away side edge it 6-4 by virtue of the Doubles. Trevor Towers was in Player of the Match form only dropping one leg (to Ian Sayer) on his way to a treble. Maxwell Antrim is adjusting well to the demands of div one and added two more victims to his list (Sayer and Tony Boarer) but came unstuck against Ross Childs in 4 legs. The unluckiest player was Daniel Gubala who went the distance in all his games but just came up short on each occasion. On another night he could easily have won all three. By way of compensation he did partner Trevor to the all important Doubles win to secure the victory.
