Sturdee 2 are in great form and recorded their 5th win on the bounce when they smashed visitor's Boxley 9-1. Conversely, this was Boxley's 3rd consecutive 1-9 reverse, a bad end to the first half of the season. It was Lyndon Gurr's turn this week to stop the whitewash as he registered a hard fought 13-11 victory in the 5th leg against Dan Stokes. Andy Marchant was in Player of the Match form combining his talent not only in this match but also going unbeaten in a Sittingbourne League match on an adjoining table. Impressively he had the energy left to team up with Dave Bonner to take the Doubles at the end of the evening. Dave also played with speed and skill to earn a hatrick beating Gurr in straight legs, Gary Hentschel in 4 and fought off a Barry Roles comeback to eventually triumph 11-9 in the 5th.
