The Christmas and new year break has not dented Rainham 1's form, as they rattled up their 10th successive victory. They were facing a Sturdee side who had won their previous 5 matches but they were unable to get much joy in this match. Andy Marchant registered the sole singles victory for the home side beating Vinnie McAneney in straight legs. As usual Rikki Clarke went unbeaten for the visitors and so did Dave Barr but he had to hold off a fightback from namesake Dave (Bonner) just getting over the line 12-10 in the decider. For the 2nd time this season, Sturdee beat the Rainham pair in the Doubles which is no mean achievement.
