The 5 points gained by Chatham Furious was enough to lift them off the bottom of Div One. A shock result was on the cards when the visitors raced into a 5-2 lead over a team 47 points above them, courtesy of "new" signing Dean Chipperfield's debut hatrick and James Townsend's fine brace over Mike Kemlo and Alan Bridle(the second time he has beaten Alan this season). However, Woods fought back with Dave Lewis thwarting James' hatrick bid and Kemlo beating the luckless Mike Carlyle. Furious still looked on course for the win when they won the first 2 legs in the Doubles but the Bridle/Lewis partnership eventually took it in the 5th leg to get the draw. Cliffe slip to 3rd in the table.
