This was always going to be a difficult match for bottom side Luton 3 and so it proved with Cliffe Woods 2 taking all the points on offer. After a great comeback season in Div 2, Scott Whale was called up to take on the League One title challengers and performed well taking Mike Kemlo to a 5th leg and also taking legs off Player of the Match Alan Bridle and Dave Lewis. Alan is now 4th in the averages with this latest treble. Dave Murtagh nearly pulled off the shock of the season when he took the first 2 legs in his battle with Dave lewis. The Woods left hander recovered, however, to take the last 3 legs.
