Match Report

A dramatic improvement in the scoreline for Chatham Furious when they played the return fixture with Rainham 2 this week. The hosts were able to field a stronger line-up for this match and consequently turned a 0-10 loss into a 6-4 victory, only their 2nd of the season. This was a very competitive match and the narrow win was only secured with a 12-10 5th leg success in the Doubles. Earlier James Townsend led from the front with a treble. His closest test against Tim Davie who he beat 11-9 in the 5th to stop Tim's hatrick. John Coleman had 2 wins for the visitors but both by the closest of margins (11-9 in the deciding leg) against both Alex Low and Nathan Round. Alex and Nathan did, however, get important wins against Mick Hambelton who went home winless rather like his football team Fulham at the moment.
