Div One leaders Cliffe Woods 2 could only muster 2 players for this match in half term week but still took all points that were played for. Dorset probably welcomed the 3 points gifted as this was 3 more than they got when these two sides met previously. In truth they could have easily got a draw out of this match as there were 4 close 5 leggers that all went the way of the visitors. Shaune Holliss led both Mike Kemlo and Dave Lewis 2-1 in legs but couldnt quite get the final points needed to record a victory. Phil Humphries also had his chances in his two 5 leg battles and will be particularly frustrated that he let slip a 2 leg advantage against Mike. Dorset's 3rd player, John Jennings, wasnt quite so competitive but his mere presence meant the hosts got the vital conceded 3 points. Cliffe are now 3 points clear at the top as Rainham 1 could only draw this week.
