Cliffe Woods maintain top spot in Div One, but its down to just the one point despite this 8-2 success as their closest rivals Rainham 1 scored maximum points this week. They hosted the other Rainham side who once again were indebted to Tim Davie who scored both their points with wins against Peter Mortley and Dave Lewis. Tim has now beaten 7 players from the top 10 this season (some twice) and in successive weeks has taken down the 2nd and 3rd in the averages. He very nearly also completed the seasonal double over Alan Bridle who eventually hung on in the 5th to  complete a treble and take the Player of the Match Award. No joy for Mick Hambelton and John Coleman although Mick threw everything at Lewis before just coming up short 14-12 in the decider.
