With 73 points difference between these two sides before the match it was no surprise that Rainham 1 were too strong for Luton 3. This was a very one sided affair with the hosts only winning 2 legs all evening when Keith Ball got one against Vinnie McAneney and Dave Murtagh surprised Rikki Clarke by taking the first leg. This was enough to prevent Rikki getting his usual Player of the Match Award. Dave Barr took this, his first of the season, which is a consequence of playing in the same team as Rikki. Rainham close the gap at the top of Div One to just the single point and have still to play Leaders Cliffe Woods ironically in the final match of the season. Luton are now 12 points adrift with just the 3 matches remaining.
