These two sides have been in the top two for most of the season and it was fitting that they played each other in the last fixture to determine the final outcome. Despite losing the match 6-4, Cliffe Woods 2 are Div One Champions by a 3 point margin. They have only lost twice this season (both to Rainham 1) and  Peter Mortley and Alan Bridle have been their star performers filling 2nd and 5th places in the individual averages respectively. They got two wins each in this match with Peter losing to Mark Steeden and Alan to Dave Barr. Mike Kemlo has captained Cliffe well to the title but failed to score for the first time this season. Rainham were missing talisman Rikki Clarke for this match but he finishes as the Division's leading player with just 3 losses. Rainham will return to the Premier next season after just the one year absence. They went through the season unbeaten with 16 wins and 2 draws. Good luck to both sides next year.
