Despite a number of postponements, Sheerness II remain in contention for the divisional crown following their narrow win against another contender, Luton Invicta IV.  The visitors fielded the experienced Scott Whale who rewarded his team, going unbeaten in singles and doubles. However the all round strength of the hosts was demonstrated by wins for John Barker, Aubrey Maryott and Simon Hatt against Mary Ball and Steve Reeves for a 6-4 match win.
