A good win for Sturdee but Sherness can count themselves unlucky, losing four fifth leggers, Wayne Youngs went undefeated, but had to show all his class to win two fifth legs,  beating Michael Barker 11,4 in the decider and even more impressive, a hard fought match against Sean Mcmillan, 11,8, 3,11, 11,7, 6,11, 13,11 
The latter did pick up a brace, a terrific 11.3 fifth leg victory over Tim Vaughan and a fourth leg win over Ian Parkes. Michael Barker is playing well for Sherness but can't quite get over the line, losing another fifth legger, Ian Parkes just edging it 11,9 at the death. The latter is in good form and repeated the feat against  Keith Ludlum.  8,2 the final scoreline
