A win for Sturdee but a very close encounter. It took Wayne Matthews to show all his class, to pick up a maximum. Martin Ball almost spoilt the party, going two legs to one up against Wayne, before the Sturdee player rallied to win the next two 11,4, 11,7 . Ian Parkes and Tim Vaughan overcame  Shaun Murray, with the former just edging it 11,9 in the fifth, Callum Hoare registered a brace, but had to fight hard to beat Tim 11,8 in the decider. Ian and Wayne teamed up in the doubles and defeated Shaun & Martin in four close legs to secure the victory
