Nothing could separate Sherness and Howard 2 as they share the spoils, in a tremendous match at Sherness. Martin Hewett picked up his customary maximum and was supported by  Jason Adams who defeated  Alex Clarke 12,10 in the fifth and John Kane in four.  The Howard captain did have the consolation though, of coming back from two legs down to defeat  Paul Kelly 11,8 in the decider for his lone victory. Roger Morley helped himself to a brace and did take one leg of Martin, before being outsmarted in four. Howard wouldn't be denied in the doubles, with a fourth leg triumph, to secure the draw.
