Howard could only field two players  in their 7, 3 victory. Ian Gordon and Shane Jarrett produced the match of the night, with the Upnor player having the audacity to take the third and fourth legs 11,4, 11,5 !.  The  Howard player eventually found an extra gear, to take it 11,7 in the fifth.  Tony Jarrett played up for Upnor and wasn't overawed, taking 28 points in his two matches. Alan Watson was just too good on the night, not losing a leg. Peter Worthington unfortunately, not finding his form from previous matches
