A terrific match at the Howard with Ark Royal just edging it 6,4. They were helped with a hard fought maximum from Stuart Fritter, who won two fifth leggers. His first match was a 13,11 fifth leg win over Shane Jarrett and the other was a 11,6 deciding leg win over Nick Boden. The other was a three leg victory against Peter Worthington. Martin Birley picked up a brace but couldn't get past Shane Jarrett who was in tremendous form to win in four close legs, his first win over the chatham player.  Peter Worthington had a rare off day but has had a brilliant season. Reserve  Julian Barker couldn't quite find his form and was squeezed out by all the Upnor players. The doubles was a tight affair with Chatham winning the last  leg 11,1 to secure the victory
