Sturdee could only field two players at Luton  with  Wrapson going undefeated, losing just one leg along the way. Tim Vaughan and Wayne Youngs each contributed,  the former edging out Martin Ball 11,8 in the fifth and the latter doing exactly the same against Shaun Murray.  Shaun and Martin showed no resistance in the doubles! and lost three straight to Tim and Wayne, so three points not bad, in the end.
