These two sides finished next to each other in last year's Div 1 table so it was no surprise to see them share the points in their opening match of the new season. A draw did not look likely as Dorset raced into a 4-0 lead before the Rainham boys found some form with a Tim Davie double and singles for John Coleman and Mick Hambelton. Slavi Arnaudov was in fine form for the visitor's, coming back rom 2 legs down to defeat Tim before completing his treble only tasting defeat in the Doubles when Tim and John secured the draw for the hosts. Earlier Shaune Holliss and Kevin Towner managed wins against John and Mick respectively to ensure every player had at least one win for their evening's efforts.
