Tim Davie was the difference in a close match at Bluebell Hill Village Hall. He was untroubled on his way to a comfortable treble not dropping a single leg. Mick Hambelton and John Coleman provided single support each getting the better of Paul Paulding who was stepping up from Boxley's 2nd team to help out the 1st team. Barry Roles and Gary Hentschel both beat Mick and John so it was down to the Doubles to decide the final outcome. Mick and Tim withstood a Boxley comeback to come through 11-8 in the 5th to secure the 6-4 result.
