A surprising result at Luton Social club where the hosts thrashed Sturdee 2. Last week, Sturdee had won their first match 9-1; this week they were on the reverse end of the same scoreline. Only Dave Bonner was able to put a point on the board for the visitors when he beat Stephen Reeves in the 7th match of the evening. The latter was playing up from Div 2 and performed with great credit winning his other two against Peter Stokes and Jaspal Plaha and also partnering Ross Childs to victory in the Doubles. Ross took the Player of the Match Award with a hatrick of 4 leg wins. Scott Whale also recorded 3 good wins including coming back from 2 legs down against Bonner and 1-2 down in legs to Jaspal.
