The top 2 in Div One faced each other and following this 7-3 victory for Sturdee 2, both sides now share the lead at the top at this very early stage with identical records. Andy Marchant led the way for the hosts with an excellent hatrick but he had to dig deep, saving 4 match points against Paul Kelly and also just edging Forest Sage 11-9 in the decider. Paul recovered to win his other two against Dave Bonner and Jas Plaha and Keith Ludlam got East's 3rd point with a 4 leg victory over Jas. The ever reliable Dave Bonner had good wins against Keith and Forest and teamed up with Andy to take the Doubles. Forest couldnt get a win on her Div One debut also losing out to Jas in the opening match up.
