The last time Upnor B were in Div One they failed to win any of their matches so they will be pleased to get a victory on the board fairly early in the new season and to lift themselves off the bottom spot. Dave Gracey was in great attacking form in this match and led the Frog Islanders to a 6-4 result with a well earned treble. Upnor actually led 5-1 so Boxley were on the ropes before a late rally made the score respectable. With their new mystery signing again unavailable, Upnor had to call on the services of Shahab Raza and he played well beating both Lyndon Gurr and Shane Simmons but losing to Barry Roles. Shane, who for the 2nd week running was helping out the Boxley first team, also lost to Marylyn Dudgeon. The latter was unlucky to lose to Roles 11-9 in the 5th and was also defeated by Gurr who got some reward after he lost his first two matches in the deciding legs. A very close Doubles went the way of the visitors as the clock struck 11pm.
