Match Report

Boxley were quickly back in action following Friday's draw with Wyvern, hosting Chatham Dorset. They have relied heavily so far this season on using players from the 2nd team and this week Paul Paulding was asked to step up a division to help out. Paul found the Dorset trio of Jon Jennings, Phil Humphries and Shaune Holliss a bit too hot to handle on this occasion so it was down to the regulars Barry Roles and Gary Hentschel to try to secure some much needed points. Roles went unbeaten for the 2nd match in a row and Hentschel picked up a brace including coming back from 2 legs down against Jon. His only reverse was against Phil who in the 2nd leg of their match remarkably came back from 0-8 and 3-9 down with the help of a lucky net or to but also some determined play. Hentschel recovered to partner Roles to a crucial Doubles win to secure the 6-4 result.
