Sturdee 2 missed the chance to significantly close the gap on Div One Leaders, Sheerness East, after falling to a 2nd defeat of the season. They knew it was not going to be their night when they lost the first three games all in the 5th leg !. Slavi Arnaudov hung on to his unbeaten record getting his 5th straight treble, but was made to work for it by Andy Marchant who took him to a 5th leg. Steve Carter has also had a good first half of the season for Dorset and got his 3rd treble in four outings. Dave Bonner, who has been ever - present for Sturdee, made Steve play a 5th leg but lost this 11-6. Dave did get a win against Shaune Holliss who in his other two match - ups showed great fighting spirit beating both Andy and Mike Ingram from 2 legs down. Sturdee took the Doubles for a 2nd point which means they hang on to 2nd spot for Christmas. Dorset are 4th just 4 points behind this week's opponents.
