Match Report
Boxley made the short trip down the hill to face Luton in the final league match of the first half. Six of the 10 games required a 5th leg and Gary Hentschel won 3 of these for a fine treble, the first of an improving season for the Boxley hard hitter. All other points were won by the hosts who were represented by Scott Whale, Phil Goldsmith and Stephen Reeves who once again was asked to play-up from the 2nd Division and performed with some style only just missing out on a treble. Craig Greenfield was also playing up from the 2nd division for the visitors and was unlucky not to take Phil to a 5th leg letting a 9-5 lead slip in the 4th. Barry Roles completed the Boxley line-up and had nothing to show for 19 legs played in singles and Doubles. luton took a close Doubles to secure the 7-3 result and are just the one point behind 2nd spot as we go into the Christmas break. Boxley are just above the drop zone.
