Sturdee have now taken 19 points off Rainham 83 this season following this whitewash at Newington Village Hall. The score was harsh on the visitors as they fought hard, losing four of the games in the deciding leg. John Coleman was involved in two of these and will be particularly frustrated to let a 2 leg lead slip against Dave Hopkins. John had a busy night as he was also playing in a Sittingbourne match at the same venue. Andy Marchant, having lost earlier in the season to Mick Hambelton, just got the better of him this time round, edging the 5th leg 15-13. A rare blank evening for Tim Davie.  Dave Bonner took the Player of the Match honours, being particularly ruthless against Mick. 2nd placed Sturdee, now have a 10 point cushion over 3rd placed Chatham Dorset. Rainham on the other hand have now lost all 3 of their 2nd half fixtures and need to get back on form.
