Gannet were first into their stride at Rainham III in their opener, Liam Coake, Chris Morford and Sean Durkin taking a three point lead, before John Caplen opened the home side's account against Liam. Chris and Sean took it to 5-1, before John again scrambled home 13-11 in the fourth against Sean and Jim Davie rolled back the years to outmanoevre Liam. Chris completed his man of the match treble, before Rainham countered winning a five leg doubles to restrict their loss to 6-4
