A great result for Cumberland, who made the most of the absence of Rikki Clarke. Trevor Towers and Maxwell Antrim secured maximums, with the latter doing well to beat Vinnie McAneney 11,5 in the fifth. Apparently Vinnie snaped his bat in the fifth, so the opposition had to lend him one,  this time though, it wasn't through temper!!, just an unfortunate accident!. Maxwell's other two victories were fairly comfortable, although Gary Clark did manage to win the first leg. Trevor dropped just one leg in his treble, Gary winning 11,6 before losing in four. Daniel Gubala couldn't overcome Dave Barr or Gary, but did defeat Vinnie, with Vinnie's brand new bat!. Rainham did well to win the doubles to make the result more respectable
