Sturdee welcomed back the return of Scott Friday and it was like he had never been away, picking up a treble, although Dave Lewis almost produced a shock, going down 11,6 in the fifth. Tim Vaughan kept up his brilliant form from the previous week, not losing one leg in his maximum and looks full of confidence.  Jill Shipton found the awkward play of Dave too much, the latter winning three straight, but she managed to go two legs to one up on Mike Kemlo, but  the Cliff player, somehow managed to find a way, 11,2 in the decider. Peter Mortley, who has outstanding serves, also overcame Jill, this time in four legs, 7,3 the final scoreline
