Congratulations to Rowhedge C (Chloe Andrews & Jared Chelski) as this years winners when they edged out Zeroabove (Rik James & guest Vic Little) 3-2 despite the humungous effort from Rik in winning both his singles.

Rowhedge B (Pawel Szemro & Mark Glenister) secured the runners up spot in beating Reapers (Oli Reynolds & Lajos Zsisku) 5-0 but only on sets won from Rowhedge A (Roger Clarke & Martin Lewis) who narrowly lost 3-2 to Pegasus A (Stan Flint & Trevor Treharne) in the last game, so, after heading the league for most of the season, fell at the last hurdle to finish 3rd.

Wudong Liu went on holiday and the rest of his squad has apparently long since departed but Essex Blades (guests John Andrews & Alan Burgess) swept aside Tollgate A (Daryl Lott & Roger Hance) 5-0 although 3 of the games did go the full distance leaving Tollgate well and truly at the foot of the table. Tollgate B (Denise Thompson & Jennie Clarke) edged out Gt. Horkesley A (Paul Barnes & Phil Wolski) 3-2 with no one able to win both their singles. The doubles again being vital, going the way of Tollgate. Tollesbury Titans (Tom Lewis & Rob King) beat Pegasus B (Jill Canning & Kevin Turner) 3-2 with Rob winning both his singles albeit 22-24 to secure the match. All the matches were played in a very good spirit tinged with that necessary edge of competitiveness. All in all it was very well received from all concerned. A special mention to Roger Hance in his role of photographer. Once again, well done Rowhedge C.
