Week 10 Report | |||||||||
Rowhedge A have led the league since week 3 but could lose the title in the last week depending how the results pan out. Level on points with Rowhedge C and 2 points ahead of Rowhedge B, who are in 3rd place, means that any one of these teams could take the title. A win for Rowhedge C will give them the title but Zeroabove might have different thoughts. A win for Rowhedge A against Pegasus A will see them take the title if their C team lose. If both Rowhedge teams lose then a win for Rowhedge B against Reapers will secure the title. It is that close. This week Rowhedge A (Nigel Claydon & Roger Clarke) lost 4-1 to Reapers (Lajos Zsisku & guest Alan Burgess) with an inspired display from Lajos, winning both his singles and ably supported by Alan winning his singles also. Rowhedge C (Jared Chelski & Chloe Andrews) beat Pegasus B (Vic Little & Jill Canning) 4-1 going top on sets difference. Rowhedge B (Kamil Lentas & Pawel Szermo) disposed of Tollgate A (Daryl Lott & Roger Hance) 4-1 keeping the pressure on the top two teams. Essex Blades (Wudong Liu & guest Rik James) just edged out Pegasus A (Steve Noble & Stan Flint) 3-2 with Steve winning both his singles. 2 very good scalps there! Tollgate B (Denise Thompson & Jenny Clarke) edged out Zeroabove (Lauren & Ken James) 3-2 with Denise again unbeaten in her singles. Finally, Gt. Horkesley A (Steve Holland & Paul Barnes) beat Tollesbury Titans (Rob King & guest Alan Burgess) 3-2 with Steve Holland unbeaten throughout. |
