Week 9 Report

Who is going to prevent Rowhedge A from winning this years title? Essex Blades (Wudong Liu & Chester Chung) did their best to beat Rowhedge A (Martin Lewis & guest Alan Burgess) but found Alan in resolute form winning both his singles with Martin Lewis chipping in with one to capture the points. Rowhedge C (Chloe Andrews & Jared Chelski) are the only team that has a realistic chance of catching them having disposed of Gt. Horkesley A (Steve Holland & Paul Barnes) 3-2 with Jared, once again unbeaten. Zeroabove (Rik & Ken James) overcame Pegasus B (Vic Little & Kevin Turner) 3-2 with Rik just managing to overcome a massive deficit to win both his singles. Tollgate A (Roger Hance & Daryl Lott) beat Reapers (Lajos Zsisku & Josh Sidki) despite a double from Lajos, his first in the campaign. Rowhedge B (Mark Glenister & Pawel Szermo) whitewashed Pegasus A (Stan Flint & Alan Foley) which effectively put paid to their championship challenge. Tollesbury Tiatans (Tom Lewis & Rob King) beat Tollgate B (Denise Thompson & Rachael Saunders) 4-1 with Denise beating Tom Lewis for their only success.
