Week 1 Report

Week 1 got off to a fine start with some good matches. Pegasus B (Helen Woolnough & Vic Little) using their handicaps to good effect, beating Rowhedge D (Lajos Zsisku & Salvador II Capili) 5-0 without dropping a set. Dedham A (Jennie Clarke & Denise Thompson) proved too strong for Tollgate A (Daryl Lott & Roger Hance) winning 4-1. Likewise, Rowhedge G (Lawrence Hornsby & Jamie Morgan) beat Rowhedge A (Martin Lewis & Roger Clarke) by the same scoreline. There were 3-2 wins for Pegasus A (Stan Flint & Martin Hill) over defending champions, Rowhedge E (Jared Chelski & Chloe Andrews) with Jared winning both his singles despite a challenging handicap. Gt. Horkesley A (Keith Monk & Peter Barnes) beat Rowhedge B (Kamil Lentos & Pawel Szermo) their consistent returns proving too difficult for the Rowhedge pair to overcome. Finally Rowhedge C (John Andrews & Thomas Lewis) overcame Rowhedge F (Martin & Gracie Edwards) although Martin remained unbeaten in his singles.
