HERTS CLOSED TOURNAMENT
This season’s Herts Closed tournament will be held at BATTS in Harlow over 15th and 16th March 2025.
I’ll be emailing details soon about which events are on which days, timings and cost etc. but in the meantime, if you are interested, please pencil those dates in.
To be eligible for the tournament you must be a Player or Compete Member of Table Tennis England
and
you must be registered either for a club directly affiliated to Herts County TT Association, or registered for a club team playing in one of Herts affiliated leagues and must have played for that team at least once prior to the tournament.
or
you must currently reside in, or been born in Hertfordshire, or represented it at least 3 times in County Championships.
and
you must not have played for another county during this season, or in its closed tournament.
The events (still to be confirmed) will include the following :-
1. Open singles (no age restrictions and open to men and women)
2. Men’s O40s
3. Cadet’s U15 (boys and girls)
4. Junior’s U19 (boys and girls)
5. Men’s O60s
6. Ladies singles
7. Ladies O40s
8. Ladies O60s
10. Open Doubles (men and women)
We are also thinking about including a singles event open to anyone - men and ladies, that don’t play in the top division of the leagues they are registered with. We are hoping this encourages people who don't usually enter Herts Closed Tournaments to have a go.
