The big match in the First Division saw leaders Batmen go down 6-4 to Brixham Sharks, The outstanding Stam Kioufis was untroubled as he coasted to comfortable singles wins.  Dennis Gibbs picked up straight sets wins against Adam Shipway & Jazmin Johns for the Batmen, but Shipway was too consistent against both Iain & Mike Dummett winning both encounters in four games. Jazmin beat Mike Dummett 11-9 in the fifth, but lost to Iain Dummett in four games in the remaining singles.  Although the match was lost at 3-6 down, the Batmen pair of Dennis Gibbs & Iain Dummett pulled off the shock of the night by defeating Kioufis & Shipway 11-7, 11-5 & 11-5 in the final doubles reversing the hammering they took earlier in the season, and that was enough to keep the Batmen at the top of the table for at least one more week!

There was a massive game at the top of the second division as well, with third-placed Bishops Academicals taking on title challengers Torbay Academy II.  In a very close encounter, the Academy won through 6-4 with Simon Furgol again man of the match for the Academy side. At 3-3 the match could have gone either way, however the last 3 singles were all taken by the Torbay side, all very close. The final doubles summed up the match, going to 5 games, and eventually going to the Bishops 20-18 in the fifth game.

The 3^rd Division title looks to be slipping away from the Torbay Academy III team after a disappointing 8-2 defeat at the hands of Dawlish Diamonds, which allowed Marldon Badgers, with an 8-2 win at Brixham over the Panthers, to draw level on points with them at the top. Dawlish’s Martin Charlesworth & Ivor Copley both took maximums against the Academy side, while the Badgers’ Simon Hern remained unbeaten against the Panthers.  Joe Smallshaw & Richard Fitzgerald maximums helped Hasbeens to an 8-2 win over Brixham Swifts, thus putting a late bid in for the runners-up spot.
