The top 2 in the first division both had big wins away from home.  Batmen whitewashed the Battlers with father and son Dennis & Shaun Gibbs being untroubled in gaining their maximums, however Mike Dummett had to fight very hard for his, saving match points but coming through to win in the 5^th game in all his singles.  Second placed Torbay Academy overcame Newton Bishops 8-2, Kris Piwowar & Patrik Cincala again to the fore with maximums.

With the top two not playing in the second division, Marldon eased into 3^rd place with a comfortable 8-2 victory over Torre 21 Up whose Rhys Lush was in fine form, only failing to beat Marldon’s John Oatley who emerged with a maximum.  Bottom side Dawlish Diamonds lost ground on their fellow strugglers as they only picked up a point in their 9-1 defeat by Tykes, at 9-0 down having lost all the singles. Don Beesley & Derek Stratton, against the odds, took the final doubles three straight.

Marldon Badgers took over the leadership of the third Division with a fine 9-1 victory over Dawlish Drifters. Another father and son partnership of Mike & Simon Hern, both with maximums, saw the Badgers home with the Drifters’ Ivor Copley preventing the whitewash.  Bottom side Brixham Dolphins battled hard against 3^rd placed Hasbeens and picked up their first doubles win of the season, but went down 7-3, with Mike Wickens unbeaten for the Hasbeens.
