Brixham Gulls, with just one win all season in the First Division, found themselves 4-3 up against runaway leaders Torbay Academy 1, but lost the last three sets, and the match 6-4.  Kris Piwowar was the saviour again for the Academy. Second-placed NA Batmen slipped up in a terrific match against 3^rd placed Brixham Sharks. The Sharks’ Josh Millman was in fine form, winning his singles and then combining well with Adam Shipway to recover from 2-0 down to take the doubles, and the match 6-4.  NA Buzzards, back to full strength with Kevin Nicholls’ return from injury, brushed aside Torbay Academy 2, as Nicholls and Jon Cheung took maximums for the Newton Abbot side.

Torbay Academy 3 have opened up a one-point gap at the top of the Second Division, following a 7-3 win over Marldon.  Dan Webster-Hall got a maximum for the Academy, whose Herbie Sage, just back from injury, lost for the first time this season to an inspired Helen Glover. Second-placed NA Eagles came away from Brixham with a fine 6-4 win over 3^rd placed Brixham Pirates. An excellent all-round team effort was made by the Eagles, but they were unable to defeat the Pirates’ Martin Sharp until they clinched the victory in the final doubles when Sharp, joined by Nick Shipley, lost out to Jim McIvor and Ed Crawford.  Basement side Marldon Tykes picked up just their second win of the season, and dragged Taverners into a real relegation battle at the same time by defeating the Bishopsteignton based team 7-3. Paul Hine undefeated for the Tykes.

Third Division leaders NA Hawks defeated club mates the Falcons 9-1 to increase their lead at the top.  Doug Morgan and David Doxsey took maximums for the Hawks.  The Falcons’ Robert Williams prevented the whitewash with a fine singles win over Ben Swettenham.

Torre Tigers stretched their lead at the top of the Fourth Division with a fine 8-2 victory over 3^rd placed NA Ospreys, with Steve Tucker again unbeaten for the Tigers. Harrison Grainger and Craig Collins were in top form for Torbay Academy 5 in second place, securing singles maximums in their 7-3 win against NA Owls; however the Bayliss brothers, Rowan and Dylan, combined to beat Grainger & Collins in the doubles. NA Kites secured a 6-4 win over Torbay Academy 6 despite a fine maximum from the Academy’s Lucas Bradshaw.  Andrew Davies was the star for his Torres R Us side as they defeated Brixham Swifts 7-3.
