An 8-2 victory for the Batmen, in front of a large crowd, completes their season and sends them to the top of the Division, at least for a day or two!
Some of the table tennis was not quite up to the standard expected from these two teams so it was not unsurprising when the crowd amused themselves with the Mexican wave!
The Gibbs boys were in fine form, unbeaten in the singles and doubles, inflicting the heaviest defeat of the season on the Buzzards.
The Buzzards skipper did have a fine singles win over Naomi Jackson but was left to reflect on another season spoilt by injuries and a lack of skilled back up when the main 3 aren’t available. A summer recruiting campaign will be necessary to challenge next season.
